Get AIDRP working in your AI.
New to Mistral, ChatGPT, Claude or Grok? Start here. From free AIDRP signup to your first conversation, every click is explained.
Start your first AIDRP session, step by step.
For Beginners, Advanced users and Experts. Choose your AI below, then follow the seven steps in order. Keep this guide open in one browser tab and your AI in another.
You will use two accounts: your AIDRP account holds your membership; your Mistral account is where you chat. Connecting them lets your AI use AIDRP’s working method and your licensed instructions. A connector is the link between the two services.
Start with Chris Three for help shaping an idea, or choose CTO, Command Line or the Design Department for that kind of work. Your experience level does not hide any setup steps.
1. Create or sign in to your AIDRP account.
This browser is not signed in to AIDRP. Use one of the buttons below. You will return to this guide after signing in.
- New to AIDRP? Choose Create free AIDRP account. Already registered? Choose Sign in to AIDRP and use your AIDRP email and password.
- For a new account, enter your first name, last name, email and a password of at least 12 characters. Choose your preferred membership and Starting cohort: Beginners, Advanced or Experts. Company and Enterprise enquiries also ask for company details.
- Read the terms, then select Create free account. Creating an account signs you in and returns you here. Open Account to check whether your membership is active.
Sign up is free. We will contact you when your next cohort is ready to begin, and billing will be arranged at that time. Free signup records your cohort request; it does not immediately activate the AI connection. If your account is pending, wait for the AIDRP team’s cohort and activation instructions.
Ready for the next step: your AIDRP Account page shows active membership. If it is already active, use the same AIDRP account when your AI asks you to authorize.
2. Sign up or sign in to Mistral Vibe.
Open Mistral at chat.mistral.ai. Choose Sign up if you need a Mistral account, or Sign in if you already have one. Complete the prompts until you can see the chat screen and sidebar.
Mistral’s chat app is now called Vibe, formerly Le Chat. The web address and your existing Mistral account still work. Some older organization screens may still show Work.
Open Mistral Vibe in a new tab ↗- If you are new, choose the AI website’s account-creation option. If you only see Sign in or Log in, open it and look for Sign up or Create account on that screen.
- Choose one of the sign-in methods the AI offers. For an existing account, use the same method you used before, such as email or your existing Google, Apple or organization sign-in.
- If it sends a verification email or code, open your inbox, follow that verification step, then return to the AI tab. Complete any remaining account prompts until you reach the signed-in interface.
Use your AI account’s sign-in method on the AI website. Use your AIDRP email and password when the AIDRP sign-in page opens later. Keep this guide tab open.
Ready for the next step: you can see your AI’s signed-in interface.
3. Add AIDRP to Mistral.
- Open Connectors in the sidebar. If the sidebar is closed, open its menu first.
- Select + Add Connector, then the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- Fill in Connector name, Server URL and the optional description using the examples below. Use AIDRP as the name, with no spaces.
- Click Connect. Mistral detects AIDRP’s OAuth sign-in automatically. Continue with the AIDRP window in step 4.
https://aidrp.com/mcpPaste the complete server URL into the connector’s URL field, including /mcp. The AIDRP homepage address alone will not work. No API key, coding or Terminal is needed for this setup.
Then: Connect. The AIDRP authorization page may open during creation or when you first choose Connect.
I cannot find these menus or buttons
Custom MCP connectors require an administrator. On Mistral Free, Pro and Student accounts, the account owner is the administrator by default. On an organization account, ask its administrator to add AIDRP, then connect your own AIDRP account. Check the sidebar for Connectors; an older Work screen may have its own navigation.
Open Mistral’s official connector instructions ↗4. Sign in to AIDRP and authorize the connection.
- When the AI opens an AIDRP sign-in or permission page, use the AIDRP account from step 1. If this browser is already signed in, you may go straight to the permission page.
- Review which AI is requesting access and the permissions shown. Read access is enough to start a session. Saving workspace notes needs write access supported by your AI and your authorization.
- If you agree, choose the approval button on the AIDRP permission page. Let it return you to your AI, then check the AIDRP connector card for a connected status.
This permission flow is called OAuth. It connects your accounts without asking you to paste an AIDRP password into an AI message.
It says I am not connected, or my membership is inactive
Open Connectors, then My Connectors and the AIDRP card. If it says you are not connected, open Credentials and choose Connect. Finish the AIDRP sign-in, then return to the chat and enable AIDRP under + or /, then Tools.
If AIDRP says your membership is inactive, open Account and follow the cohort activation notice. Creating another connector does not activate membership.
Ready for the next step: the connector shows that your own AIDRP account is connected. This completes account connection; session startup follows below.
5. Enable AIDRP in a new Mistral conversation.
- Return to Mistral and start a new chat.
- Beside the message box, click +, or type / in the message box. Select Tools, find AIDRP and enable it for this conversation.
- Return to the message box. Leave AIDRP enabled, then send the startup instruction in step 6.
Use the same AI account and organization where you added the connector. Each new conversation needs its own startup instruction.
6. Copy the startup instruction, paste it and send.
- Check Your AI platform and Working perspective at the top of this guide. The button below uses those choices.
- Click Copy startup instruction. Switch to the AI conversation from step 5, click its message box, and paste with Ctrl+V on Windows or Command+V on Mac. On a phone or tablet, touch and hold in the message box, then choose Paste.
- Press the AI’s Send button. If it asks to use AIDRP tools, review the request and allow the read actions needed to start.
- Wait while the AI loads and reads the required AIDRP instructions. It may make several tool calls. You do not need to copy each part or understand the technical text.
Preview or manually copy the startup instruction
Use the connected AIDRP tools. Call activate_aidrp_session with {"provider":"mistral","role":"consultant"}. Follow every nextCursor using the same tool with continuation. Read every returned module chunk completely. When the response requests acknowledgement, call the tool with its continuation and acknowledged:true only after receiving all required chunks. Report ready only when the tool confirms it. Then ask what I would like to work on. Begin with Training Wheels guidance for setup and my first task: use plain language, explain unfamiliar terms and give clear numbered steps, regardless of my experience level. Respect this AI host’s governing instructions. Apply the licensed Control Codes to our work without reproducing or redistributing them.If copying is blocked, the copy button opens a selectable text field. Select all of its text, copy it manually, then paste and send it in your AI.
7. Wait for readiness, then start your first task.
Your AI should confirm that AIDRP is ready after receiving and reading every required instruction module. It then asks what you would like to work on. A Connected badge or a list of available tools only completes the connection step.
For your first message after readiness, try:
Help me turn my idea into a short project brief. Use Training Wheels Mode and ask me one clear question at a time.
This setup and first-task guidance is available for Beginners, Advanced users and Experts. You can ask your AI for more or less explanation as you work.
My AI cannot find AIDRP, stops loading or does not confirm ready
First return to step 5 and check that AIDRP is available in this conversation. Then copy and send the startup instruction from step 6 again. If the AI reports a failed tool call, an expired connection or incomplete activation, use the connection help in step 4 and retry in a new conversation. Keep the exact error message when asking for help. If loading fails, the session is not ready.
Connect your accounts once, then repeat steps 5 to 7 for a new conversation. Choose model and reasoning settings in your AI platform. Account and organization settings determine connector availability. Menu guidance checked 2 November 2026: Mistral’s official instructions ↗.
